Tommy and Annika long for adventure! One sunny summer day, they get tired of clearing the strawberry field and decide to run away. To calm their mother, they take Pippi with them and luckily it is! The escape begins calmly and peacefully, but takes a new turn when thunderclap roars in the forest. We get to follow the three escapees in the meeting with Konrad and his cronies, as they climb mountains, walk on a tightrope and slide down the river. We get to read about the meeting between Pisse-Nisse and the bull and about the misadventure in the party car that can fly. It's great to run away, but maybe even nicer to come home again?Astrid Lindgren originally wrote Pippi on the Run as a film script in 1970. Many have seen the beloved film, which takes place in 1970s Summer Sweden. During the recording, still photographer Bo-Erik Gyberg took pictures that were published in the picture book that came out in 1971. But this is the first time that the story is illustrated. We get to share in the exciting adventure as a picture book, in a large, generous format and comprehensively narrated. Series creator Fabian Göranson made the pictures. We recognize Pippi, Tommy and Annika, but here portrayed in a different form and narrative style. It's fast-paced, exciting and a lot to watch.Fabian Göranson is series creator. His latest book, The Dream of Europe, attracted a lot of attention and received excellent reviews in the daily press.

      Astrid Lindgren in Norway

The first to bring Astrid Lindgren's books abroad was the publisher Damm & Søn in Oslo, with their Norwegian edition of "Pippi Longstocking" already appearing in 1946. This marked the beginning of a long-standing relationship. Today, most of her books in Norway are published by Cappelen Damm, a publishing house formed through the merger of Cappelen and Damm. Astrid's book adaptations into films also became popular in Norway, as did her famous songs. One of Astrid Lindgren's favorite books was "Hunger" by the Norwegian author Knut Hamsun; she often mentioned it as one of her greatest reading experiences.
