""Dear Astrid, it's me again" is a continuation of the letter exchange between Astrid Lindgren and Sara Schwardt - but now it's a letter without an answer.Sara observes the outside world, observes herself, aware of her sensitivity. She writes that she was the kind of kid everyone got annoyed with, the kind she herself gets annoyed with now. Highly sensitive, fragile. Throughout the book, Sara turns to her pen pal, Astrid Lindgren, she reflects on things Astrid wrote to the young Sara.As a thread runs through the book, parents' longing for the child who turned away. Open and naked, Sara writes about the difficult and taboo when a child does not want to see his parent."

      Astrid Lindgren in Norway

The first to bring Astrid Lindgren's books abroad was the publisher Damm & Søn in Oslo, with their Norwegian edition of "Pippi Longstocking" already appearing in 1946. This marked the beginning of a long-standing relationship. Today, most of her books in Norway are published by Cappelen Damm, a publishing house formed through the merger of Cappelen and Damm. Astrid's book adaptations into films also became popular in Norway, as did her famous songs. One of Astrid Lindgren's favorite books was "Hunger" by the Norwegian author Knut Hamsun; she often mentioned it as one of her greatest reading experiences.
