Britt-Mari lättar sitt hjärta (Swedish)

"The Confidences of Britt-Mari" is Astrid Lindgren's debut book, with which she won second prize in Rabén & Sjögren's prize competition for best girl's book in 1944.

In the book, Britt-Mari acquires a pen pal in order to have something meaningful to write on her own typewriter. And to her pen pal Kajsa, she tells about her whole large, messy and happy family, about her love troubles and her eventful life in Villa Ekeliden, Småstad.

The book was illustrated by Ulla Sundin-Wickman when it was published in the series "FIB's youth books" in 1952."
