Astrid´s own manuscripts

Ever since Astrid first began to write books, others have expressed their interest in making films and stage productions based on her stories. Some have even tried to change her stories with the objective of catering to a specific audience or making them suit the conditions and aims of a particular group. Astrid soon became aware of the problems that would arise when others wanted to alter her works, so she much preferred to write her own scripts. She wanted to maintain her personal style and ensure the quality of the plays that would be staged, especially in the professional arena. Where she did not have the time or opportunity to write scripts herself, she insisted on certain rules which had to be adhered to.

Astrid has written many drama scripts of her own, several of which have been translated into other languages. These scripts are in the safe keeping of the theatre agencies which Astrid engaged and which still carry the rights to them. The agency responsible for Germany, Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland is Verlag für Kindertheater and for the rest of the world it is Nordiska ApS, International Performing Rights Agency.
